I always felt that the Denver Nuggets can beat anytime right now regardless if it's the Spurs, Mavs or Suns. Go Nuggets!!

The Nuggets did not want to face Dallas. The Suns will be a tough team for anyone to beat. The Spurs are very interesting because they are getting older and injury plagued. Spurs play lock-down defense but I see the Nuggets having their best chance against and aging over hyped team.

AI and Melo are playing great together and Nene is a freaking best. Marcus is still Marcus, and Blake is a great compliment player. With LK and JR coming off th bench added with Eddy this team could look and be very dangerous! I think the key match up in this series will be Nene .vs. Duncan. If Nene and can hold back Duncan and still score and rebound like he has, then the Nuggets have a very good chance at beating the Spurs.

I absolutely agree with u TP. The Nuggets are truly the underdogs. No one expects them to win any series, but I'm here to say that WE WILL WIN!!!

The Nuggets have the right stuff to stiffle the Spurs. They're melding so well, have a super-stacked bench, and are stepping up the D.

100% focus on one game at a time, this east coast Nuggets' fan knows they'll go as far in the play-offs as they want!

once again the good people of denver have something to say...to bad it'll do no good. yeas the nuggs are hot right now, with their showboat style of play. remeber this nuggies, making the highlight reel don't mean a thing, unless it's your team hoisting larry himself! GO SPURS GO!!!

I agree with tp nene and the ANSWER are going to be the key to beating the spurs.. there going to to do every thing possible to stop melo i can say right now that at points during the series the spurs are going to get the nuggets into a half court slow game allen and nene are going to have to take over the game at that point. I despise the spurs there the worst team to watch manu ginobli is a flopping pancake! bowen is a cheap player stepping under player after shots twisting ankles there all overrated. i predict the nuggets will win it in 6. GGGOOO NUGGETS!!

this is to melo is the man, nuggets fans really shouldn't point the finger at bad teams, it wasn't any of the Spurs players who "punch and run" so lets keep this on the up and up. oh yeah it's spelled "their" not there look up the meaning to both words!

Hopefully, Karl takes over the plays and starts actually coaching and we'll be fine. Cause i definitely dont wont to see one on one basketball in the playoffs.

Plenty of pick and rolls and that eliminates one on one ball and creates movement and has the dfense chasing.

Utah showed everyone you can have a pretty successful team if you play d and run picks and cuts. Thats pretty much all the sixers do now since they dont have the talent to go one on one. but it is definitely a better brand of ball and a easier brand of ball. Ai and Nene pick n roll. Ai and melo pick and roll. Ai and Camby. same for Melo and Blake. Nuggs would be unstoppable.

If camby is the man dfensively and others try and block some shots also to help him out i dont worry. when Evans comes in as the center he dfenitely has to try and block some shots and not just try and block out but let people go right by him and dunk or lay the ball up. EVANS has to challenge shots!!!!!

well 5-6 games ought to do it for the spurs!evry other year they've won the dam thing , no difference this year! duncan is still dominating, tony parker is still dominating and when genobilli needs to do his thing he will! 9no team has 3 quality type players as the spurs!) next year for the nug's/ a whole training camp and etc..., then it's the person who can't coach..( karl is very suspect as is hill bros, rivers , thomas, avg coach, brings in average wins( reg& playoffs)!

Reggie Evans has a problem holding on to the ball. He is fumbles-mumbles and then he whines every play. I wish they still had Francisco as a back up (now with SA). Thats the big weakness of the team.

And how about Linus! Wow, has he come along. Next year, he could be a legit number three guy -- battling out for Nene for points.

I just hope Karl doesn't blow it like usual. If Linus is the go to guy over Nene next year that is a very bad thing. Nene with Melo will make this achampionship team not Linus who plays the same position as Melo.

With all the whining the spurs do, maybe the nuggets don't stand a chance. Tim Duncan has already laid the ground work for getting a fair shake. If I see Ginobli flopping around the floor for one more series I will go crazy. Has Duncan ever been called for a foul when he didn't look on in amazement? His look of disbelief when the whistle blows is too much for me to handle. I HATE THE SPURS. Go Nugs.

I don't think there is as much seperation between these teams as many people think. The comments I have read from Spurs fans seem to be written on blind faith alone. Sure they have won championships, and out of the three top teams in the west they are the one team I didn't want denver to play in the first round, but they sure as hell are beatable. The spurs have Parker, the nuggs have AI. Slight edge to the Nuggs. Spurs have ginobilli, Nuggs have Kleiza. Edge to the Spurs. Spurs have Bowen, Nuggs have Melo. Edge to Nuggs. Spurs have Duncan, Nuggs have Nene. Edge to Spurs? Spurs have Elson, Nuggs have Camby. Edge to Nuggs. Lastly, Spurs have Finley, Nuggs have JR. Edge to spurs. The matchups I see suggest that this will be a difficult test for BOTH teams.

To Gary who posted "no team has 3 quality type players as the spurs" on april 18th, Dude you are delusional. AI, Melo, Camby. That makes three.

#15 do you think that San Antonio is the Mecca of the sports world, or what? Playing the Spurs on national TV isn't the crescendo of Denver Sport's fans year by any stretch of the imagination. Unlike San Antonio we have three other pro teams to root for. Sure San Antonio has had a great run since 1999 when it comes to basketball, but before all you Spurs fans anoint your team as champions maybe you should win game one of the first round series. The Spurs are not even the best team in Texas anymore. Spur's fans seem pretty vain, and I hope none of you strain your necks bending over trying to kiss your own rear ends. Go Nuggets

For the third straight year the Spurs will take on the hottest team in the NBA. 3 years ago, it was ur Nuggets. As for 76ers to Nugs positional breakdown, I agree on most but have to disagree on a couple of things. Ur giving the edge to AI over Parker? A couple of years ago yes, but now??? He has the ability to take over games, but he doesn't because the Spurs focus on a more team oriented offense and love to share the ball. Sometimes they over pass. And you have to consider more then just Filey vs JR. It is bench vs bench. Vaughn is playing great backup PG, Barry and Finley r LETHAL from behind the arc. And really it is Ginobili who comes off the bench with Finley or Barry starting. Horry or "Big Shot Bob!" The Red Rocket Matt Bonner, u guys prolly have no idea who this guy is unless you watched the last game of the year. He does a great job rebounding and brings awesome energy. He can also launch from downtown. Oberto is a great rebounder and a heck of a passer, when he and Ginobili r in together watch out, they have that Argentinian connection! Bowen generally does a good job of containing Melo. Theres no STOPPING the guy, but contain YES! And he is not dirty he just plays such great up close in ur face defense that he happens to be a lil close when guys land. Bowen is not that kind of guy, and Pop would definetely not allow that type of play from any of his players. Camby should have his way with Elson, although Elson does have 3 years practice against Camby. And I actually c Nene giving Duncan trouble with his Defense. No disrespect to the Nuggs orginization, but I see it Spurs in 5. Ya'll r a great team but Spurs r playing with a purpose this year, we can just feel it over here in SA! Hard to explain, it is weird, but i c our boys bringing it home! Prolly should have had it last year had the Mavs not gone to the free throw line 50 times in games 3 and 4. Ridiculous really. I thought Elson did a decent job on Dirk a couple games ago, ha the one where Duncan was ejected for laughing! K, now I am just rambling on yalls page... Best of luck and may the best team win!

C'mon Denver.. Do you forget who you are playing?? You can throw out age,injury, and anything else that you think will give the Advantage to Denver. We don't have three banners hanging for nothing.The Spurs are by far the superior team and own Denver. Hope you enjoyed that last victory because thats the only one you are getting. I just hope this series isn't determined with the flopping and crying of duncan and ginobili, i hope the refs just let them play, usually SA gets enough cheap calls to put all of denver's big guys on the bench and it is a different game, please refs let them play, and please nuggets beat the spurs, i despise them and want revenge for all of the other years

You know i keep reading from Nugget fans about the Spurs whining about fouls. But the biggest whiner has to be George Karl. Last time the Spurs beat down the Nuggets in the Playoffs and left George Karl looking like he was going to cry in the press conference. He was crying and whining about Manu going down the middle of his teams defense. George and the Nuggets need to shut-up, stop crying and play the game. GO SPUUUUUUUURS!!!!

its funny how every year the first team the spurs play in the playoffs always think that they r "gonna shock the world" but always end up back home while the spurs are still playing. and there is no way that nene is going to stop tim duncan, you have go to be kidding me a scrub like nene has no chance what so ever against a 3 time world champion 3 time finals mvp and 2 time mvp

These spurs fans are so over confident. Tony Parker really can be taken out of the game with some good defense. I worry about Manu just cause he thinks this is soccer and if you dive every five seconds the ref will give you the call. Well the refs are catchin on and will not give him that crap this year. AI is still better than parker, Keep in mind Elson was a good BACKUP two years ago and still isn't much better so we have a huge edge there. Nugs in 6

The problem with playing the Spurs is you are also playing the refs who give them all the calls as they whine all game long, especially Duncan.
